man” Barrett dos The Wailers, Shakespeare tocou nas
principais bandas de reggae , The Upsetters com Lee Scratch Perry,
The Aggrovators, ou The Revolutionaries, baixista dos principais
artistas de reggae como U Roy, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, Bunny
Wailer, Gregory Isaacs, Black Uhuru e muitos mais.
Seu sucesso e reconhecimento levaram-lhe a
trabalhar "fora da caixa" reggae com artistas como Mick Jagger, Bob
Dylan, Joe Cocker, Cindy Lauper e Grace Jones.
Shakespeare será sempre lembrado como um dos
maiores e mais influentes baixistas da música do século XX.
Sua morte foi anunciada a 8 de dezembro, a tinha 68
anos.
